Celebrating Earth Day the AussieZinc Way

Earth Day - 22nd April 2025

At AussieZinc, Earth Day isn’t just a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of why we do what we do. Our connection to the land and sea runs deep, and we believe every small action can make a lasting impact.

We’re proud that sustainability is part of our everyday decisions, from the materials we choose to the way we package and send our products. One area we care deeply about is what goes on your skin and ends up in our oceans.

Many chemical sunscreens contain ingredients like oxybenzone and octinoxate, which have been proven to harm coral reefs and marine life. That’s why our sunscreen is reef safe and ocean friendly, made without these harmful chemicals. It’s a simple swap that helps protect our precious marine ecosystems, especially the Great Barrier Reef we’re so lucky to have in our own backyard.

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating the small wins. Recycled packaging, locally made products, less plastic, and sunscreen that’s kind to our waterways. It’s not about being perfect, but about choosing better, more mindful options every day.

We’re proud to be part of a community that values the environment and cares for the land and sea we love.

Happy Earth Day from all of us at AussieZinc 🌿🌊💚

Absolutely amazing for my skin and aussiezinc gave me 2 extra bottles to try which I am so grateful for!!! I will acknowledge it is a bit oily (as are zinc sunscreens) and there is a slight white cast which is only a little bit noticeable because I have darker skin but in terms of ingredients and performance they are amazing- I have rosacea and very sensitive skin and most things can really burn but this doesn’t at all! (The Vitamin C sunscreens they gave me extra turned out to be an amazing pick for me!!)

No adverse reactions, which for me is unheard of! I’m quite pale and this light tint does make me a little paler. However, to be able to wear sunscreen and not have to take medication to counteract the effects is a godsend. I’ll try the darker tint next time.

Anti-Aging Vitamin C Daily Glow SPF50 Organic Mineral Zinc Sunscreen

A really effective sun screen. Have been in Brazil with it and no issues at all. I have very sensitive skin which is why I choose this brand and it has been excellent. No sensitivity issues at all. This is the first sun screen i would recommend for people like me with skin issues

Sheer Medium Tint SPF50+ Hydrating Organic Mineral Zinc Sunscreen BB Cream

I have tried several zinc sunscreens over the years and recently purchased this one for the first time. It is light, not overly greasy or thick, and whilst for my skin tone (olive) it isn't exactly full coverage per se, it significantly helps reduce the purple and white glow I get with every type of sunscreen. I have enjoyed using this over the past week and find it easy to apply and blend in with minimal 'purple tinge' (if you know, you know).

So many things to love about Aussiezinc: No chemical 💩storm, no reaction for my daughter and grandson, both with super sensitive skin, easy to spread around, dolphin friendly. 😁 A week on holidays, 40° days, and most of that spent swimming .... no sunburn! Perfect.
